The best route to travel from Mysore to Srirangapatna is via NH-150A, which is around 18km. This route takes almost 35 minutes to cover this distance with a car. 

Another route you can take to reach Srirangapatna from Mysore is through Bangalore Nilgiri Road and NH-150A. This route is approximately an 18.7 km stretch and takes 30 minutes to cover. Another alternative route from Mysore to Srirangapatna is through NH275 and NH-150A, which is almost 21.2 km and takes over 35 minutes to cover. 

However, these routes are under construction, and you can expect heavy traffic during rush hours. So, it may take longer than usual to reach your destination from Mysore. 

Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple

The temple is located near the beautiful Cauvery River. This ancient temple has beautiful carvings of Vishnu avatars and a large Gopuram or entrance facade. The large carved walls and sculptures of the temple will remind you of the Vijayanagar architectural style. Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple is dedicated to Lord Ranganatha, an incarnation of Lord Vishnu.

It was the summer palace of Tipu Sultan during the year 1784. This wooden palace houses a splendid manicured garden and colourful flower beds that oozes elegance.
