The shortest route from Mysore to Mettupalayam for a road trip is via NH-150A and NH948. It is a 2-laned highway in pretty good condition. Normal traffic is generally present except during the midnight and early morning hours. Be careful of the 27 hairpin bends near Dhimbam Ghat on the way.
