Located in the Mandya district, Nagamangala is a PuraSabhe that lies in the Indian state of Karnataka. The town’s history stretches back to the Mahabharatha era. Arjuna’s son Babruvahana is claimed to have dominated this region and the town was previously known as Uluchi Nagara and Nagamandala. The ancient town has many temples worth visiting.
The distance between Mysore and Nagamangala is 68.1 km and the time taken to travel this distance, with normal traffic, is 1.5 hours. National Highway 150A connects the two cities. En route, you can visit the magnificent KRS Dam and stop over to seek blessings at Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple.

As you will be traveling via the National Highway, the journey will be smooth as the roads are in reasonably good condition for a smooth drive. There are not many twists and turns on the Highway, so it is less risky.
There is an alternate route that can be traveled through KRS-Pandavapura Main Road and National Highway 150A. This route is longer and it will take almost 2 hours to cover a distance of 74.2 km.
