1. Tipu’s Drop

Tipu’s Drop is the place from where convicts were pushed down the steep land end as punishment for their terrible deeds during the era of Tipu Sultan (1750-1799). It is located at the foot of the Nandi Hills and is one of the few ancient temples in India that has been beautifully conserved. Nandi Temple is one of the oldest and most revered temples in Karnataka.

3. Tipu’s Summer Residence

The house in which Tipu Sultan lived when he visited Nandi Hills during the summers is known as Tipu’s Summer Residence. This regal palace was started by Haidar Ali and finished by Tipu Sultan. It was used by the royalty as a summer retreat. He also called it the Tashk-e-Jannat, which means “heaven’s envy.”
