The most popular route from Mysore to Virajpet is via Mangalore – Mysore Highway and Virajpet-Mysore Road. It takes about 2 hours and 30 minutes by car to reach the town. You will drive through hilly terrains and curvy and narrow roads.

An alternate route from Mysore to Virajpet is via Mananthavady Road and Thalassery – Mysore Road. It is longer than the other route. It will take around 3 hours to cover the distance of 127 kilometers.

Sightseeing Places in Virajpet

1. Chelavara Waterfalls: Formed by a small tributary of River Cauvery, it is a less crowded spot. Chelavara Waterfalls has a depth of 150 feet with a pool below. Travelers admire its tortoise-shaped rocks and mesmerizing beauty.
