An alternate route from Mysore to Virajpet is via Mananthavady Road and Thalassery – Mysore Road. It is longer than the other route. It will take around 3 hours to cover the distance of 127 kilometers.

1. Chelavara Waterfalls: Formed by a small tributary of River Cauvery, it is a less crowded spot. Chelavara Waterfalls has a depth of 150 feet with a pool below. Travelers admire its tortoise-shaped rocks and mesmerizing beauty.
